I've been making more of a point in my journeys to Stop, and Look. If something catches my eye I'm more prone to actually take a break and dig deeper to see what it's all about. To find the interesting details of what makes one place so different from another.

The past couple of trips through Texas I've whizzed by this place, and keep reminding myself that I should really Check It Out. This time I finally did.

This is the former Kent,Texas Public School.

Kent is a town of approximately 60 people. It has no emergency services, no educational services, and 3 businesses. The people govern themselves.

This school is visible from the I-10.

It has a rather creepy basement.

I have a long way to go with photography. A long, long way.

I know that place! I've always wanted to stop and explore but I've always been in a hurry to get the hell out of Texas.
Good on ya for stopping and looking.

Hah! Awesome! It's a pretty neat place.. well worth the look see.

There's an abandoned Bar and Grill that I'm just itching to explore the next drive through... but for the life of me I can't remember if it's on the I-10 or the I-20...but I'm so going to find it next time I'm through that area..

Wow, at quick glance in B&W that could be ancient Roman ruins! How disappointing to know it's really just Texas....

It's very small.. about the size of a 2 bedroom house.. but it's definitely a neat place.

Thank you!

Except for the graffiti that's totally how I felt.. except I kept on thinking it was like lost Mayan ruins.

But hey.. at least there's some interesting places in Texas.
