I do have quite a bit to write about. Soon, my pretty, pretties.

My poor journal is languishing. I need to feed it words to keep it alive, but the Muse, she's been so LOUD lately, that I can't seem to stop long enough to write a coherent paragraph. So this is what I have.

Something I learned today: Life, and this Earth, will never, ever cease to be fascinating.

From the tiniest particle, to shifting continents. There is always something going on. It's all a matter of perspective. The current day American, or indeed, any earth bound carbon based life form, who thinks that there is nothing new, and nothing interesting going on here, should take a step back, and take a good look around.  There is always something AMAZING going on.

It's all a matter of perspective.

Today my interests widened into the world of Entomology, thanks to an insect that I, as of yet, have not been able to identify. I'm hoping I can catch a photo of one of the little fellows too, but they're incredibly small, and extremely alien.

I learned that Daddy-Long legs are also called "Harvestmen" and "Reapers".    They are *not*  venomous , contrary to popular belief . They don't even have venom sacs.

I learned that Fireflies use enzymes called luciferase and luciferin to produce bioluminescence.   I learned that they are dying.

I found out that this little guy, is not so common to this area, but rather, to Missouri.  he is a "Walnut Sphinx Moth".  I was surprised to find him in my booth.

The world never ceases to amaze.
