Vanity is never fair

So I took a break from knitting tonight ( actually a few... way too many..). anyways.. I took a break and started to play with some old photos.  I did a bit of tweaking on this one...and it just Popped for me.  I don't know why. 

This was taken with just a Kodak point and shoot. I was experimenting with more self portraits, and I wanted to do something very "Playboy" style. 

Vanity is such an awful beast. It lures us, taunts us, and teases us with backwards images from a twisted mirror. 

That being said... this is one of those photos where I actually felt beautiful. It's not perfect..and neither am I.  No one is.

I always liked this photo, with its subtle hint of aureola. Smolder, it does.
