Fat Old Sun..

I have forgotten what the warmth of the sun feels like.. my bones have frozen.. and when they start to thaw they drip cold water into my veins.. and I shiver. Constantly.

Summer can not come soon enough for me.

Last night was warm and soft. I had lost my memories of what soft nights could do for the soul. I can only hope for more.

My lapse in writing has not been for a lack of interest.. only a lack of energy.

A brief encapsulation of the last couple of weeks :



I surprisingly still have my job.. and they apparently like me.. No one is more shocked than I.. I keep waiting for the bomb to drop.

The house was invaded by cops while I was at work.. I love living in the barrio....Drug bust behind the house in some apartments.. the 903's think that for some unknown reason one of the escaped dealers has ducked into my home ( never mind the lack of open, unlocked doors or broken windows). Pappa dearest gets a phone call from them requesting a key to get in... Ummm... if you guys can't get in then how did this supposed escaped suspect gain entrance? Hmmm..? The police were kind enough to not only search the house... but search through my couches and my underwear drawers as well.. not to mention the black plastic bag on my bed , that contained awfully "personal and intimate" items. Which they spread on my bed and left out in plain sight.

I'm not even going to bother mentioning the other things they did that were not legal nor necessary.

I think I have moved from the realm of "animal friendly" to "Sucker".. but either way the kitten is doing well..

The Muse has been whispering softly.. and with more insistence. I only have to shake myself from this dense fog to hear what she says.

I may have a plan for my life.. for at least the next few years.. Be afraid.
