Tiny Friends

I have new roommates. 

Tiny, tiny roommates. 

Some manti pods have apparently hatched in my living area, and they are in loooooooove with one of my lamps. Bug Love. My tiny little cannibals.

I wonder if I could ever have a side job just photographing bugs. 

These guys inspired me to finally break out my new fanceh camera. I've been terrified of it for months. So many buttons! Real lenses that I have to change! Functions! Ack! 


These first two shots were taken with the old Canon S5IS.. my point and shoot workhorse.. 



 

I love my Canon S5IS... seeing as these were taken indoors, at night, the amount of noise is pretty minimal all things considered. 

Now this shot... taken with my new Canon EOS Rebel T2i with the macro lens..  




The light is so much more natural and true to life.. and I love that I can practically see the expression on his/her tiny bug face. 


Yeah. Can you tell I'm avoiding doing any actual work?  

Bugs. I should just photograph bugs.
