"Showgirls".. must without doubt be the most horrid film I've seen in at least the last decade.

I want my $6.99 back ...with interest. Because this film held absolutely none of mine.


It really was that bad.

funny thing is... the studio paid over $3 million for that script... the highest ever paid for any script in the history of hollywood.

Oh Gods.. dear god I kind of want to claw my eyes out . I mean.. yes..there was T&A.. but that was the ONLY thing keeping my interest at all.

You mean they didn't just improve it?

It was from the same people who gave us "Basic Instinct," so everyone thought Showgirls would have the same stuff as "BI."

They were so wrong.

Although, in the movie's defense, I own the special edition just so I can bust out with odd conversations and idle threats if people who come to my place to watch movies can't make up their minds about what to watch.

Then again...seeing Jessie Spano use a pole like that...makes me all goofy.

Heh, for me, SHOWGIRLS is one of those movies so bad it's good. I like to get all MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATRE on it whenever it comes on. Not even Gina Gershon is watchable in that thing.

By the way...Don't know if you saw my answer to the post that mentioned the band Treat Her Right. LJ was wonky for me for a couple of days where I wasn't getting comments e-mailed to me. Anyway, if you're interested, I can burn the discs for you.

Holy crikeys.. too weird.. cause I was just thinking about that today.. things have been a bit tumultuous around here that I've slacked on writing back to people.. but I seriously was thinking about that today.. and was going to go hunting for the comment to respond.. most definately interested!

Showgirls is one of those movies where you either love it or hate it. They actually have midnight showings and it has a cult following. Scary, I know. I actually love it for its bad comical value because they really thought they were being serious in it.

But it was just so..BAD.. I mean horridly bad. I seriously had to drink to get through the rest of the movie.. and the lead acress annoyed the ever living FUCK out of me.. I wanted to do drastic things to her anally just to get her to shut the hell up.
