meccahiI am massively spoiled.
It started out with Grog giving me something I never would have expected. It's beautiful.. and one of the bestest things I've ever received..

Which should change soon because my folks got me... A Lappy!!!! It's the HP digital photography studio ( comes with a printer and camera).. and has a dual core processor , which Grog assures me is duly impressive..
This is on top of the mass of neat stuff that Grog gave me..( Pirates-the game, box set with booster packs, A couple of the collected Fables series Graphic novels, and the Bomb Queen collected series.. and a Hello Kitty lunch box with Pez dispensers.. and a Serentity shirt.. and a Serenity ornament..)
Yeah.. I'm way spoiled.
I am such the geek sometimes.
Then of course my folks made my heart thump 3 more collected series of Buffy, a slew of other DVD's.. a portable DVD player..
Ok maybe I'm beyond soiled.
My dad and I went halves.. and got something for my Mom.. that I've been wanting to get her for years. She is the reason that I love fantasy and science fiction so much.. plus art and music. Growing up she always loved the art of the Brothers Hildebrandt..( they were the ones that painted the original poster for Star Wars.. and were best know for their Tolkien calendars throughout the 70's and 80's.) I grew up loving their artwork because of my Mom.

It's the original painting that the brothers did for the comic adaptation of Dragon Heart.
Tim Hildebrandt passed away this year ( Tim and Greg were twins if I remember correctly).. which is really sad.. I met them both my first ( and only so far) year at DragonCon in 1997, and they were both marvelously nice people..
I'm rambling.. anyways.. Mom seems to lurrrv the painting.. which makes me happy.
And Grog was inundated with Warmachine stuff..*smirk*..
So anyways.. yay.. Christmas was filled with booty and spoils and much plunder. Good times.
Grog and I both pretty much slept the rest of the day until dinner since we'd both stayed up for about 20 hours ( him for gaming.. me for work.. wheeee). Woke up in time for dinner with the 'rents .. then headed back home..
Good times!
May head out to Cali this week to visit a friend... we shall see.
