And other such permutations...

Hrmm.. I really should take a photography class.. along with a few million other classes of things I want to learn...
These are 3 images I was playing around with today.. I think with the program I have, and my limited skill that this is the best they're going to get sadly.
I really need to learn more..

First one I tried my damndest to make look like a sort of Maxfield Parrish painting. It's not what I'd like it to be.. but in comparison to the original photo it's miles improved..

An Experiment with OverExposure..

I actually kinda like this one...

Hopefully this week I'll get a few people over to take pictures of them in chainmail.. I really need to get cracking with better photos..and cataloging all of my designs and pricing them out properly and blah blah blah.. in other words... I need to get off of my ass and get things done.

I must say... hurray for caffeine.

Did you take these or just photoshop them?

I took these...

The first is actually my music room.. I really wish I could have done a better job with that one..

The other two were just me gussying myself up and playing with make-up and seeing what I could do with my camera...

I love the red still life, and the other two are beautiful too. You look great all eyelined and in black & white.

For what it's worth? You'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't develop this talent. I think you have a great eye and a strong artistic sense. I know photographers without this level of creativity who are professionals.

Thank you!..I appreciate that.. I still wish I could have done with the still life the picture that I have in my head.. but if you saw the first one ( before I did the cropping and color adjustments and such) you'd probably laugh. It was really really bad.. Grin

I still can't wrap my head around the fact that there are women who put that amount of make-up on every day.. but it's fun to play with.

Huh..Thank you!.. I'm gonna get all sorts of blushy now..Grin..

I really do need to take some classes... I would like to know what the heck I'm doing instead of just dinking around with the photo program I have.. I want to develop what I know and maybe at some point use it as a side job when I'm not doing chainmail...

Do it. For one thing, taking super artsy photos of your stock is never a bad thing. It'll make your catalogue all profesional lookin' and that's always good.

Mmhmm. I am actually now in the habit of dolling up for show days, as it widens my appeal to the generica masses. I don't do it heavy, just enough to emphasize that whole ideal.
I am not fond of wearing it. I did it perpetually in my gothic 80's childhood, pancake white face with red or black lips and big psychedelic egyptian eyes (spirals, extended lines, trippy goth chick.)
Someday I will have to show you pictures.

I love love LOVE the picture of you behind the leaves. I could easily see that photograph hanging in a gallery someday.
