Oh Gods that was funny...
I totally got stopped by a cop.... because he liked my license plate.
I was getting ready to drive away from Applebees when the cop pulls up next to me and waves me out of the car. I freak out thinking he's going to say something about my expired registration.
"Excuse me ma'am, .... but.. are you a pirate?"
"uhh.. what?"
"Are you a Pirate? Can you talk Pirate to me?"..
(insert clicking in my brain as I realise what the hell he's talking about.)
"ooohhh my license plate.. heh.. yeah.. I am a bit with the Pirate"
Officer Really Freaking Friendly " Can you say YAARRRR for me like a Pirate?"
I figured might as well ( dear gods don't notice my registration Officer Weird But Friendly)
We proceed to make Pirate noises together in the parking lot of Applebees.
Stayed and chit chatted with Officer I Wanna Be A Pirate Too, and he asked me what I did. I told him about Ren Faires and he said he'd been in the AZ booth and that he was going to go again this year, and talked about chainmail, and how I did dispatch for Safeguard.
He asked about my shift hours, and I told him I did weekend graves and he breaks in with " so you have like.. no social life do you".
Ah geez is it THAT obvious?
I told him, no.. not really.. my week is spent making stock, playing a bit of WoW, and work. Hopefully that will change to, , make stock, have social life, play lots of WoW, play music and work shows.
He told me I made his night, and drove off. Leaving me somewhat bemused, but giggling all the same.
Damn that was weird.
