Creeping..
Oct. 26th, 2007 06:57 pmNot really motivated to write much.. though there is much to lay out.
Figures.
Cali was wonderful as usual. It's the place where I feel love, and loved. Truly, all encompassing. Sometimes overwhelming.
Grog is in Michigan for his Grandfather's funeral. We'll be missing each other by less than a day, as I'm leaving tomorrow and he's coming back on Sunday. But luckily I'll be back in town the week of Thanksgiving. I'll have like 2 days to see him before he takes off to visit his family for a Turkey Massacre.
STILL on my vegetarian kick. I'm craving fish more though, so I don't know that I really count myself as a tree hugging hippie yet. We shall see when I come back from Louisiana. I don't think it's a permanent thing, but I'm also not a betting woman.
I am going to devolve into utter geekdom though because on All Hallows Eve, Ghost Hunters is doing a live broadcast from Waverly Hills, AND I'll be romping around in The Quarter.. so now I need to see if I can Hijack someone's cable for an hour or possibly rent a hotel for the night that gets the Sci Fi channel. Gods I'm an addict. I don't even watch TV, but I'll rent a room to see Ghost Hunters.
I also just realised that the audio version of "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" that I've listened to at least 3 times is narrated by Derek Jacobi. One of my all time favorite actors. How the hell did I not catch this before??? ( For the uninitiated Derek Jacobi was the actor who played Claudius in I,Claudius, and also played Cadfael, in the Cadfael Chronicles.) I've been downloading all of my books on CD to my Ipod to reduce fumblings for more CDs, and just noticed the credits on the back of the slipcover.
I have much stock to make still, and I have a couple of places that I need to ship stock to, but again, my motivation has been lacking and I'm trying to remedy it. Now that it's night the malaise seems to have abated.. maybe I'll actually get something done.
In news of the weird, my tent poles fit inside my car. I swear it's just a bag of holding with wheels. It creates its own dimension just to hold more stuff. Go Scuttlebutt!
I think it's time to hunt caffeine before the motivation slips away again.. maybe put more Ghost Hunters on while I sort, and decorate stock, and pack.
Rar!
