Today I have successfully avoided cleaning the rest of the house. Go me! I still have the back room, the bedroom, and the two bathrooms to finish. But.. Oh. My. Gods. .. The house looks so phenomenally better than it did. I'm actually pleased to walk into the living room.

And my second cousin that I've never met in person randomly showed up and mowed my lawn today... ask and ye shall receive. Wow.

Don't remember if I mentioned this but Mi Madre purchased a new camera for me for Solstikwanzachristmaunika. Whatever. For the Holidays.. I haven't experimented with it yet..and I feel guilty. Next week I'm going to play with it muchly and see what neat tricks it can do.. It's a real camera! Canon Powershot S5IS. It should be fun.

In the meantime I've beaten the holy hells out of my Photosmart recently, between taking stock photos, and playing with some photography ideas. So I'm thrusting them upon you...

And I'm inordinately pleased that I have learned to make Thai cucumber salad. I smell garlicy.

First part of my photo experiment from tonight.. I'm hoping to improve on this idea some day. Because I obviously need more things to keep me occupied.

Water and Leaves



I love this one.. and I need to get better at either Picasa or learn Photoshop. I know how I want it to look in my head. This was the closest I could come with what I have. This is my friend and tattoo artist Fritz ( he's the bearded one ).. and his friend Josh. If I were a real photographer I would call this one " Second Move "



I need to try this one again.. but it's "fair" enough in my world..



I'm not sure if anyone in Internet Land has seen the house in its "pre-clean" days... But this is the living room now. I know it looks shabby to most people, but it is so vastly improved I cannot even express how happy I am. It really is almost coffee shop-ish. And das iz gud.



We can even play chess now..



This is super cheese. I know it. But the blues looked pretty and gave a moonlight effect.



A pale vision




And finally.. a somewhat normal looking photo.. except that you can see up my nose.. and you can see how the part of my hair that decided to dye purple.. has turned to green. I don't get it either. My original intent for this photo was to try and take a picture of the bondage choker. I fail spectacularly.. but I liked the photo itself because I look halfway decent in it. Go ego go.






This coming Tuesday is see thy oral surgeon day. I so cannot wait. Angry wisdom tooth needs to go now.

Once again.. sorry for the photo overload.. but I've been wanting to post them for awhile. I'm having fun with this whole picture taking thing.

Heh.. yay! I know you saw it at one point waaayyy back in the day.. but it's gone through multiple transitions since then. The house is finally shaping up to something I don't mind people seeing.

I love taking the nature shots.. I can't wait to play with the new camera..
