Tenterhooks
Feb. 26th, 2005 02:15 amI want sleep.
In other news, I listened to my gramaphone today for the first time. I can't even describe the feeling of listening to this sound that is so real, and so distant, and brings back memories that I'm fairly certain are not my own. Either way.. it was pretty damned cool.
A friend also gave me an original "Edison Blue Amberol Record". Before records were flat.. they were tubes.. thanks to Thomas Alva Edison. Now I just need to find a player for it. Like I have time.
I did not save $100 by switching to GEICO.
My ginger root has started to sprout. I'm curious to see how far it goes.
I am not dying. This was good news to me.
If I ruled the universe then passing an IQ test would be a requirement before one gets a driver's license.
I discovered that I am not the only girl who once dreamt of being a Madame in a whorehouse in New Orleans. Gods I love my friends.
Wine is good. Aparthied is bad.
My plans for this year have shifted.. but I like to think that it's a shift for the better. I will not be leaving in April for England like I first thought. If I get approved then I'll be staying here in AZ until Bristol starts... work the Bristol show.. drive to New York.. leave my truck there with a friend, and then fly to England and stay there for 4 or 5 months. Come back in time to work the AZ show.. and then maybe go to the Conservatory of Recording Arts here in Mesa/Tempe. Maybe. All plans are subject to change.
It's a theory at least .
I need sleep.

I'd love to see the record tube, and see and hear the gramaphone.

Date: 2005-03-03 07:28 am (UTC)Bristol is a Ren Faire that I work out in Wisconsin. It's wonderful..
I don't trust IQ tests... I've taken one.. and admittedly scored very high... but they have no way to test real brilliance ... I figure we're all geniuses in one area or another... we just have to find what area it is.
I am particularly adept at belching.
