The Mountain Path
Sep. 25th, 2008 10:20 amHonest to goodness... last pretty nature shot from Rainier for awhile. I want to try and challenge myself... beware for twaddle may ensue.

Productivity still eludes me. I apparently must love panic.

Date: 2008-09-26 04:00 am (UTC)Love panic?I sure do. Nothing ever gets made in mass quantity for me until it's "too late!" As my sister put it, "Now you know that you are just as lame as all the artists you used to work for and complain about not making enough stock."
Mind you, I do get better every year. This past Winter I did so much pre production, the kind of thing that even though it's not the final product, shaves hours and hours of mindless work away from my serious final stages once the show is on. That, and for leather, pre production travels much better than masks like to.

Date: 2008-09-29 03:27 am (UTC)I'm thinking panic must be the best motivator. I'm usually really good about production and catching up with stock.. but I think because I added two new shows to my circuit.. and because both shows went so well.. that I just got a little burned out.. Next year may be the time for me to hire a full time employee, because I'm looking at adding one or two more shows. We shall see. I need at least one more "big show" to get my circuit fleshed out.
