Project 1 - ( the art project)

It's been ages since I've done something creative with my hands except chainmail and photography. I feel blessed that ( while struggling), I'm still doing, and still love doing, something creative for a living. But even then, I need more. So much more. I've barely played my guitars lately, and that hurts. It's been months since I've done any sketching.

The urge finally culminated in the need to do something.

I've become more and more interested in Steampunk of late, and I wanted to attempt something in that style.

What I came up with wasn't exactly what was in my head. It's not Steampunk. I'm not rightly sure what it is... except that it felt right. And, I know that I messed up in a few places, but I still love it. I think there will be more to come in the future. Whatever it is.

Most of what is on here, are bits and parts that were laying around the house, and hiding under cupboards. I bought some animal bones not too long ago to go into another project I'm starting on. I haven't done much painting in quite awhile, and it felt calming to sit and just Be. I had so much fun with this project. Definitely going to be doing more in the future.

It's fascinating. And I'm really starting to think it would be interesting to do art projects with only things that are laying about the house.

hah! that is scary... my house looks like a cross between a thrift shop, junk yard, and a Persian bordello.

Yeah.. it's kinda scary here.. it's like.. we've lived here since July.. but you wouldn't really know it to look at the house. It looks like the family hasn't really moved in yet.. (unless you look in my bedroom.. the only painted/not OCDneat room in the house)
