Hooray! First Etsy sale made!!

And it's for one of my higher dollar items too! Yaaaaay! That should help in the being of the slightly less broke.

In other randomness...

Since I've been on my diet change, and trying to figure out what I can and cannot have.. I've discovered one of the big things that affects me.

Milk.

Bloody hells. How did I not know this before?

I've been working out ( not as much as I should.. but at least I have been).. and I have completely removed all sodas from my diet. It's been over a month since i've had one.

The only bread I've had has been the whole wheat brick that I made awhile back. And I eat that once every couple of days, since it's really not very good.

But I bought some milk because I thought I would need some for a recipe. I didn't.. and it needed to be used.. so I started drinking it.

I drank a whole glass last night..

And woke up this morning feeling like the State Puff Marshmallow woman.

Note to self: Milk does not do my body good.

Bugger.

Most of the human population over the age of five can't digest milk sugars. If you still like the creamy goodness though, try goat milk. It'll take you a week or so to get used to the taste, but we have an easier time digesting it. I am one lactose intolerant motherfucker and I drink it all the time.

Wait, I just realized that I made goat milk sound gross. It's not. It just tastes very different than cows milk so it takes getting used to.

I shall have to try it. I've always been curious about it, but I'm not a huge milk drinker. When I DO drink milk it's always been whole milk.. not the pansy 1% stuff.. so maybe that will make it easier to drink the goat's milk? Hrmm.

I've also heard that goat's milk has more nutrients that are better for you as well.

Yes to all of the above. Even the low fat goats milk is very flavorful. And the fully leaded variety is like a milky smack to the kisser. I think the main thing I had to get used to when I switched was that it tasted like, ya know, milk of some kind. Cows milk is so fucked with that it doesn't taste like much at all.
Unless you buy from Promise Land Dairy that is. OMG is that stuff crack. It's cow, but holy cow what cow.
If you ever want to hurt yourself for chocolatey goodness, get their Midnight Chocolate Milk.

I am all soy or almond milk. It's only because I don't drink black coffee.

Cheese is also not your friend, but most people tolerate goat and sheep cheese, cottage, feta, and mozzarella better than all the fabulous stinky hard cheeses. Cheddar hates everyone.

Hooray about the soda. I am posting tonight from fair site. It costs $50 a month. Oh well, I want it.

Have you tried ezekiel bread? Trader joe's sells it for a good price, and fresh, too. The rest of the time we pay twice as much for frozen.

yay for being on site! Hope the road trip was uneventful!

Is the campground open yet?? Hrmm

I have not tried ezekiel break.. I've seen it though. I shall have to investigate.

I love cheese. I especially love cheddar.. which makes me said if it's part of my marshmallow impressionist state. I haven't eaten much of it in the past month.. but still. Extra extra sharp is one of my all time faves.

Yayz on generated income, booz on lactose intolerance.

And not to be a drunken stark-raving pop trivia douchebag, but it's the Stay Puft Marshmallow (wo)Man.
