Despite all of the annoyances with the hellion child, I have to say this.. the woman we're staying with is exceedingly generous.

She just came in to say, that if we want to stay here next year, she'd love it. And that she wouldn't charge us anything for it, because she likes having us here.

Amazing. People never cease to surprise me.

There were alot of reasons. Because it's my first year there, they will not give me an electric spot, and I really do need it to get work done at night(I'm alllways working at night..even if I've worked during the day).I'm a workaholic. So I figured if I was going to be paying anything, I'd rather just get some place with 4 walls and a real bed. We're only paying $400 for the whole run of the show. The other part was Cullen. He's not a camper. At ALL. And, he is helping me out a ton at this show. This place is only 5 miles from site, so it's not a bad commute.
Next year we'll see what happens. I personally would rather be on site around the people I love. But this isn't bad.

Aaaaah. Good to know about first year and electricity though. Since it's NC I plan to apply to first.
I wouldn't *absolutely* need power, but considering how cold it gets and how that effects my ability to produce it's something I'd have to concern myself with. Leather dye doesn't dry well at lower temperatures. And that's not even taking the state of my tendons into account.

Heh.. That was my OTHER reason. I also knew how cold it got here ( and this year has been especially cold). And I know I don't get dick done if I'm freezing my ass off. I can't knit if I can't feel my fingers. So yeah. Renting it is.
