Need Techy Geek Help!!

I'm usually pretty savvy at sussing out issues with my lappy. Even being as computer retarded as I am.. I've slowly built up knowledge of how to narrow down, and then pin point what an issue is and go from there.
I....am completely boggled by what it's doing now.
First there is the mouse issue. Which is not a mouse issue. Now my cursor wants to highlight EVERYTHING, and drag and drop random items, and backspace and erase text on me. It's not the mouse ( already changed it twice), it's not the touchpad, and it's not a stuck shift key or anything else wacky on my keyboard.
Second, I now have to open Task Manager and click it if I want to navigate to another page. Say I have 3 tabs open...if I want to click on any other tab other than the one I am currently in? I have to CTRL + ALT+ DEL and open up TM, and THEN I can click on another tab ( without ever doing anything IN Task Manager).
Seriously. HALP? This is getting frustrating.
I've gone so far as to dump all of my important info onto an external harddrive and then done a system restore.....still have the same issues. Cleaned up the registry. Still the same.
