meccahiWell my day has dissipated and I'm not sure where it floated to.
But in news of the good.. my driver's license is now free and clear! After many hours of wrangling with the Santa Fe DMV AND the Arizona DMV, and getting them to make nice with each other, I now no longer have a suspended license.
And why was it suspended when I paid my ticket? Sheer bureaucratic stupidity.
My speeding ticket was supposed to be paid no later than July 20th. I mailed my payment out on July 7th. They received it July 9th.
"So where is the issue?" One might ask. I certainly did.
The Santa Fe DMV...takes 3 TO 4 WEEKS for processing!! In that time..since the payment is floating around somewhere in the New Mexico Ether.. THEY send out a notice to whatever DMV ( in my case AZ) and say " Hey so this person received a citation, and we haven't been paid for it yet".
Fucking Retarded. And I told them so. Or, more exactly, I told them "That's dumb". I'm really not a fan of abusing phone reps, who have nothing to do with the situation, and, are generally trying to be helpful.
I'm bringing all my paperwork with me on the road just in case. Because apparently that part of the country's motor vehicle laws are made of stupid.
So now it's 8:30 PM, and I am just starting to make stock. Wheee.
