I've finally returned from Cali-for-ni-A..

Let me just say that people who thought that settling in a Desert, after traversing over mountains that had trees and that helpful liquid called Wa-ter, were quite mad, and apparently not part of Darwin's scheme. The fact that I continue to live in said desert also doesn't bode well for my state of mind either.

Comicon was teh awesome. Beyond what I expected. I dressed up suitably and placed the label on myself that read "Screaming Fangirl"..AKA also known as the Heroine SuperTramp. If ever my "graphic Novel" skills decide to pop their heads up that will be my hero's name. And she shall hold the power of Cleavage.
The whole waiting in line for 2 hours after being pre-registered on line was even worth it. But standing in the sun wearing a corset, really not among my top "things to do in Summer heat".

Ooooohhhh but the people. I met so..many..damn..people. *flutter* And I forgot that at Cons, boobies hold power. Great power. Most entertaining.

Lesee.. There was Jim Balent and Holly go Lightly of Broadsword Comics ( beautiful art..silly story lines.. I don't care...slightly pornographic. I like em.)Sweetest couple ever.
Brian Froud.... He's one of those that is here.. but here isn't here it's someplace extremely far away and probably not of this dimension. Very sweet man.
Olivia.. nuff said.
Tad Williams..he was awesome. Busy and swarmed with people.. but a really nice guy.
David Mack of Kabuki.. nice guy, knows he's the shit.. but a nice guy.
Chris Dailey of StripTease and Jennie Breeden of Devil's Panties..
So many people... and unfortunately could only go for Saturday as friends I was with could only go the one day.

Stayed in El Centro and gamed for days at friend's comic book store.. Got killed in the booster draft for Magic the Gathering :Coldsnap. Played tons of Navia Dratp.. made chainmail.. mass amounts of reading, lounging, sleeping, and being shanghaied into watching "Charmed". Pure unadulterated Cheese. But it was entertaining cheese none the less.

Went to a Tai Chi class... which was fun, but made even more painful since my muscles from walking around Comicon for 10 hours were still sore.. Trying to do "Snake in Grass".. Ow. Much Ow.

Returned home yesterday only to go to the Phoenix Game Con. Crikey. Not too much to say about it.. mostly table top games. Woot... lots of Warmachine ( I swear I WILL paint my army this next month).. played some Magic with Grog and friend who was running the Warmachine tourney.

Received the e-mail yesterday that I've been waiting for months to arrive.

Did not get into the Louisiana Ren Faire. Due to the graphic nature of our chainmail. More or less. The owner of the show loves it, his partner wants to focus on "family oriented" items. So basicly they want fucking DisneyLand in the swamps. It doesn't make a whole hell of alot of sense because all of the photos I sent were of Belts and bracelets and headbands and headdresses and chokers and such. No halter tops, no cut outs, nothing even remotely "adult". I'm thinking my bosses' reputation may have preceeded me and since I'm still employed by, and am a part of his troop of chainmail halter wearing crew, plus his escapades of 20 years ago ( which are still legendary).. they fear the same from my company? I'll be buggered if I know. Either way, didn't get in. Will now be focusing on Cons. Comicon, Gencon, and DragonCon specifically.
Bah.

In other news I have found Dragonfruit!
It's not Sobe ( I don't believe it is..) but it's a metal canister, it says Elements on it.. it says "Fire" and its main ingredient is Dragonfruit. The amount of parading I did with one of the cans was almost obscene. Next step is to hunt down the Bawls water.

Sometimes my obsessions border on the lunatic. If they didn't keep me so entertained I'd worry for my sanity. Now really dear, how redundant was that?

Slaving for the masses tonight, so I fear a shower is most necessary..

Imagine having a day with nothing to do but *think*... I feel so bland and without inspiration of late. The trip helped.. but not enough.

I miss so many aspects of my old life. There has to be a balance somewhere.

yeah, its sobe, like I told you when you showed it to me =P.

remember,
sobe elements, fire,
then sobe fire,
then sobe dragon,
then sobe dragonfruit,
now apparently just elements fire.

sobe likes to mess with their customer base.

i have those elements drinks, but they're glass... and i remember the dragonfruit one, it was good! there was also one called water and i remember it was my favorite... i think it had some sort of cactus juice in it.

anyway, cons are awesome, and although i didn't see you at comiccon, i'm sure you had fun!

and, lovely lady, inspiration is everywhere... sometimes i have to shoo it out the door cause it won't let me sleep!
