Took a mini day off today.... not really by choice... but considering I went to bed at 10AM and woke up around 6PM... I consider that worthy of the day-offness label.

Much lounging in bed and shakings of the Grog to stop snoring...
And TWICE felt a bug skittering on my arm... yuck... I don't care about bugs usually .. I think they're neat... but I'm fairly certain this was a cockroach... and after the last cockroach incident ( it flew at me while I was on the potty)... I'm ready to annihilate each and every one of them upon sight.

We also did our once every week and a half shopping trip to Wally World at 2 in the morning ...
whilst wandering the frozen food section, kept on hearing a "Kra!..Kra!" sound.. and looked up to find a huge Grakel ( it's a big brown bird.. lots of them in AZ) hopping from beam to beam... and watched as he hopped to the beam right above us...
Just as I'm mentioning to Grog that we should probably move out of the Grakel's Poo Path.. the damned thing lets loose his rain of feces and decides to defile Grog's Crappucinos...
All in all it was highly entertaining..
Then we played with toys in the kid's section. I forgot how freakin cool Hot Wheels are.

Yesterday was just horribly stressful.. with everything coming down to the wire..ran into too many cranky people.. and finally decided to just relax.. eat some Bar b Que ( on again off again addiction) and did a horrible thing and spent money on comics. Incredibly irresponsible of me.. but the comics called to me.. Pick up "Marvel :1602" by Neil Gaiman, which is so far interesting.. and a couple issues of Bomb Queen, which is always entertaining. Woot... oh yeah.. and a couple booster packs of the new Magic expansion. Geek Goodness.

Also have been reading Gaiman's "Anansi Boys"...liking it so far.. but still not as much as American Gods.

So yeah.... World In Chains...

I have about 10 days left to get everything together.
Still need to make headdresses and decorate belts... but the chain order finally arrived.. so I've been working on that.. still need to fill up more of the regular stock.. but I have all of next week off before I leave to finish.
The handwebs are going to take freakin forever.

My minions appear to have bailed for the most part. I feel like a terrible mother or something.

I have business cards.. which rock... receipts which look ghetto but will do..
Still need my business license but I'll be in Louisiana so I'm not sure how much it will matter really to have an AZ business license.
Still need to make banners and signs.. and figure out how to pay for the tent... and what kind of displays we're going to have.
Still need to make carpayment for this month... and house phone bill.
Will be incredibly broke for the next couple of months...wheee!
I wonder if everyone goes through this much anxiety starting a business?
Back to knitting for me...

Anansi Boys is a little slow to start with, but once you get past the first hundred pages it gets good. It's definitely not in the same caliber as American Gods, but I'm glad he revisted the element of Gods living among normal everday people. The concept is really cool. ;-)

And Marvel: 1602 is AWESOME! I loved that book. I liked what he did with Daredevil and the X-Men Characters. It took me awhile to figure out 'who was who' but that was part of the fun.
