stretch and roll...
Feb. 1st, 2007 08:40 pmIt's been a rather nice couple of days..
Yesterday Grog and I wandered aboot .. preying upon both the local game store and Sporting Goods place.. Local game store is open to me selling chainmail dicebags there.. (I did a little inner dance of joy)
Sporting Goods store is slightly evil. I now want to start up archery again.. and I may actually be lured in by the air-soft world. For some reason unbeknownst to me..firing small yellow pellets out of a toy gun is massively entertaining. Grog picked up one of the pistols.. and I have to restrain myself from using it because I just know I'll use up all of the ammo that we have.
We also went to see "Pan's Labyrinth".. which was just as good as everyone has said.. if not a mite gorier than what I anticipated.
If Neil Gaiman and Tarantino had a love-child this would probably be it. Dave McKean would be the god-father... and Stephen King could babysit.
Well worth my $9.00..
A better part of today was lost to Season 5 of Buffy.. dammit. For someone who doesn't watch TV I get mighty lost in the DVD series world. I'm probably just going to have to suck it up and buy seasons 6 and 7. Then start on Angel. Stupid stupid addictions.. but they do help the production time go faster.. and I know I'll watch them obsessively later whenever I'm depressed.
Today Miss Kristi and I moved my trailer on site for the AZ show. It's fared remarkably well. No leaks..only one tire low.. and the inside is just the way I left it.. so no mice or critters have made havoc with anything. I'm a bit proud of my ghetto-fabulous trailer considering I picked it up in South Phoenix for $150 and it's lasted me about 4 years now. Including a trip to Maryland and back.
Watched the sun set behind the mountains and had the sky spit on us several times. It can really stop that at any point now.
And I've been informed by Gretchen that she will probably be able to be in AZ in March for the birthday madness.. and I kinda squealed. Haven't seen her in years and I miss my G.
The new website for World In Chains should be up by the end of next week.. and hopefully new pictures will be up soon.. I need to start hunting for models and finding a good local photographer if Grog's friend doesn't have the time.
Sadly this post really can only interest me.. but either way.. it's been a good couple of days. Now on to working 60-70 hours this week ( wish i were joking) and then Faire begins.
Yay.
