Ok.. so the update on the house is..

I was approved for the loan.. but under a "second home" option seeing as I will not be moving into it until at least 6 months... possibly longer.

I still have to pay the closing costs.. about 3 grand. That I don't have immediately.

They received my earnest check.. and then said " oh by the way 2 other people have made offers on the house.. is your bid negotiable?"

So yeah. Fuckity fuck fuck.

I really want this house. I mean really really want it. It's everything I've looked for. It's in my price range. It's large. It has land. it's ina place that is green. Near many towns.

Someone please help me.

If you have made a bid, and they have accepted said bid, and you have a contract that says that, then they can't back out to accept a higher offer. If you fail to qualify or your financing falls through that is one thing, but until that happens, you have a contract.

Nope.. my financing went through.. so yeah.. I thought it was a little odd as well..

I need to find out more information because I have copies of the contract that I signed..
