Gah!!!!

*sigh*

Got an e-mail from the realtor saying that the sellers want "no contingencies" and that it be a "cash" sale.

I countered that with a "I want an inspection" and a "I'll send you my letter of pre-approval"

I don't think that's too much to ask. That the house not be falling apart... that's it! I'm going through a bank.. I'm approved for the loan.. what's the dealie yo??

We'll see on Monday.. I can catch a flight out ( that I can afford) in two weeks. After Grog and Mine's B-days.

I really want the house... I really don't want to be screwed.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......

Sounds to me like they got a higher offer and are trying to get you to back out (since they can't back out once they have your earnest money).

Stick to your guns! Inspections and pre-approved loans are so ridiculously standard it shouldn't even be an issue :D

You absolutely need an inspection to see if the house has catastrophic failures. That sort of "No questions asked" purchase policy would make my very nervous about what's wrong with the place. You've got the right idea.
