Onward and Forward..
Dec. 15th, 2007 08:14 pmIn theory.. oh hells..In reality.. I'm DETERMINED to leave here tomorrow.
The last few days have been an exercise in thumb twiddling, and waiting for the faire owners to come up with a time where I could speak with both of them.
Had the "meeting" with the faire owners this morning(FINALLY), which went better than expected. I've been approved to put a building up.. woot! I talked to a couple of people about being little worker bees for me since I really have no idea what I'm doing. But I'll probably be one of the worker bees as well! Exciting. And terrifying. Still need to talk to a couple of other prospects.. but I have a couple of months.
As far as money for the booth itself.. heh. Yeah. I have a feeling that I will have no ass by the end of next year due to having worked it all off. Goodbye ghetto booty..
In other news.. met many people today, and kind of wished that I'd have wandered a bit more during this show, because all of said people were fun. But I have contact numbers and such. Yay.
I was all rarin to go this afternoon when Louisiana decided it was time to unleash all holy bejezus on our heads and give us 80 mile an hour winds and a pounding rainstorm.. so that pretty much nixed that whole " leaving at a decent time" option.
I was also brilliant and forgot that my car window was down. Heh. The inside of the car has never been cleaner!
I can't wait to be home.. but I also don't want to leave here. I want to be back in New Orleans, in a cozy place, nursing a drink. Talking with friends. It's back to that whole " I miss living here.. but I can't afford it".
In either case..I should be home in theory by Monday evening.
Wow.. I think I have now cornered the market on incoherent babbling.
Much love everyone.. hope to see you soon.
