Out of curiosity..
Dec. 31st, 2007 09:58 amI never do this.. but I'm going to ask for a public opinion..
Nipple Piercings. Erotic? Or Gross?
( and yes.. I'm considering having them done.. been thinking on this for years now )
Pretty much now is the right time since I won't have to wear a bodice for about a month.. but I'm just curious. Personally I think they're hot.
I know if I hate them I can just take them out, but I wanted to hear what the rest of the world thinks.

Date: 2007-12-31 05:12 pm (UTC)I think it comes down to the style of the person. There are some people who can pull certain things off. I think you can probably do nipple rings in a way that wouldn't make me flinch, from the pics you posted. But nipple rings especially make me shudder a bit, mostly because mine are soooo sensitive. Hehe.

Date: 2007-12-31 09:56 pm (UTC)and also it's nice to get an opinion from people who may have had them done at one time or another, and learn what their experiences were with them.

Date: 2008-01-01 12:17 am (UTC)I just find the look of the piercings incredibly ..umm... stimulating. And I have heard that it can enhance certain bedroom affairs.
I just typed all of that with the voice of Brakk in my head. Great.

Date: 2008-01-01 05:03 am (UTC)I never wanted mine pierced because firstly I don't think I'd look good with them, and secondly I would most likely get hurt dressing myself. At least I know I am clumsy.
I had my (non existent) labia pierced and had to take it out as there wasn't enough meat there for me to support even a tiny ring. Crow showed me her ring and I realized what I had to be suffering from was hood envy. Apparently some of us have one, like, a big meaty shelf, and others have a nub so small that it makes a small ring insupportable. So, my point in this digression is if it will match aesthetically the size and shape of your nipples, and they will not get ripped out by inherent clumsiness (they are way more out there than your clit or earlobes)
then I say make yourself happy. If they don't work for you, all you've lost is some money on piercing and rings....and some time confined in your bodice.

Date: 2008-01-01 08:56 am (UTC)If it's what you want to do, go for it.
(I've only had the privilege to look, from a distance of 2-3 feet. Haven't had any further privileges, unfortunately, so can't attest to any pros of a nipple piercing. LOL)

Date: 2008-01-03 07:12 am (UTC)As far as the loss of sensitivity, how often is that an issue?

Date: 2008-01-01 03:32 pm (UTC)You have the wrong size jewelry for your body. Cuz "dress for your figure" goes for more than just clothes. Tiny nipples + huge rings looks like crap and vice versa.
If you have those apple in a sock tits or have had many children and are a hippie who refuses to wear a bra so your boobs look like pizza slices stapled to your chest. If either of those is the case, you just have unattractive breasts and adding rings is kinda like putting a tiara on a waterbuffalo. Under those circumstances I recomend some light plastic surgery before piercing anything.
And lastly, if your piercer is a retard and has made you crooked.
Mine are pierced and I've never regretted it. Mind you, they WILL migrate. Most piercings do over time unless they're in cartilidge. So any piercer who doesn't make his little guide marks at the very base of your nips is a moron. Mine started out at the base and have moved up till they're about in the middle now. They seem to have stopped, but migration is the main reason people lose piercings if a mosh pit isn't to blame. A good piercer will take that fact into consideration and place the piercing to allow for it as much as possible.
But as always, the opinions of others should never matter as much as your own in matters of personal adornment and beauty. My two cents is go for it.

Date: 2008-01-03 01:03 am (UTC)heh.. besides that.. have you lost any sensitivity with yours? I think that is my main concern is, well, I like the feel of my pointy girl bits and I'd like to continue to be able to feel them. I know the body has an amazing ability to regenerate a majority of things, but I at least want to know the risks i'm taking (besides possible infection) .

Date: 2008-01-03 05:13 pm (UTC)If you develop heavy keloid then I'd say skip it, but you're white so you prolly don't, am I right? Keloid usually comes with pigment. Not always, but usually. Scar tissue is one of the main reasons people lose sensitivity, the other being nerve dammage. However, the nipple is packed with nerves and the loss of a few shouldn't matter unless other factors are in play.
I never had particularly sensitive nips and I still don't. So nothing has changed for me. Most people I know with pierced nips report no change at all. I'm not sure that the reports of increased sensitivity are accurate. It's possible, since you'll have a slight THO almost all the time after you're pierced, but like anything, once you get used to the sensation it's no longer remarkable. I also didn't experience increased sensitivity after my hood was done so either I'm a total anomaly (very possible) or people exagerate (also very possible). However my sensitivity didn't decrease in either case and both sets of piercings have aged well. I've had them for at least a decade each. The tits a little longer I think. Maybe 12 years. The only change is slight migration in the nips which will happen, and slight stretching in the labial piercings, which will also happen. But neither reaction is unexpected or outside of expected perameters for the piercing.
And for what it's worth, I too have heard good things about HTC and I don't even live there.

Plus, no matter what people tell you, I was working in an airport and about 20% of the time they'd set the metal detectors off and I was tired of getting wanded practically every day.

Date: 2008-01-03 01:06 am (UTC)Where did you get yours done by the way? I'm thinking of HTC since from what everyone has told me they have an amazing staff, and I've heard no complaints from anyone that has gone there. I didn't know if you had gone there, or some other local place.
