I met someone famous today!

Yes! It's true!
Last night while reading the local news I came across a blurb about Dave Goelz being in town for a free Q & A, and a showing of "The Muppet Movie".
It was phenomenal. What was wonderful to see was that he still, after all these years, laughed along with the rest of us during the movie. After the movie he said that he hadn't seen it in about 14 years. He had some great stories to tell about Jim Henson, and about the different people he worked with. He talked about how they shot some of the scenes, and about coming up with the different Muppets.
He also said that there is a Fraggle Rock movie in the works!!!! Apparently one of Frank Zappa's kids is writing the script for it. It should be interesting. There is also another Muppet movie coming out, but he wasn't allowed to talk about the details. Apparently the script is something Frank Oz has had in his head for about 25 years. Exciting.
Best question of the night..( keep in mind that there was a horde of children at the talk)
Q. "Gonzo,. do you like being electrocuted?"
A. " Oh Yes! You should try it sometime!!"..a couple of seconds pass before Dave realises what he just said.." NO NO NO KIDS!! DON'T TRY THAT...DON'T EVEN TOUCH BATTERIES!!!"
It was awesome.
And here's me feeling like I'm 6 again, with Gonzo. I look really poofy.
heh. Yay. 3 hours exceptionally well spent.
